This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to purchases made directly from Society of Wealth Organization Inc.. A checkout page, event registration, written proposal, vendor policy, or separate agreement may contain more specific terms; those specific terms control for that purchase.
1. Free Offerings
Free memberships, orientations, resources, and events have no purchase price to refund. S.O.W. may change, limit, or discontinue free offerings at any time.
2. First-Time Paid Memberships
Unless checkout states otherwise, a first-time purchaser may request cancellation and a refund within seven calendar days after the initial charge, provided the member has not substantially used restricted content, attended a paid live session, downloaded a substantial portion of materials, or otherwise received the core value of the membership. Refunds required by law are not limited by this paragraph.
3. Membership Renewals
Recurring memberships continue until canceled. Cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. A cancellation generally stops future billing and does not refund a renewal period that has begun. We may make an exception for a prompt, documented billing error or as required by law.
4. Courses and Digital Content
Unless the offer states otherwise, digital courses, recordings, downloads, and member resources are non-refundable after substantial access, download, or completion. If a technical problem prevents access and we cannot reasonably correct it, we may provide replacement access, a credit, or a refund.
5. Workshops and Standard Events
Unless event-specific terms state otherwise:
- cancellation received at least 14 calendar days before the event may qualify for a refund minus nonrecoverable processing or vendor fees;
- cancellation received 7–13 days before the event may qualify for a transferable registration or credit, subject to availability;
- cancellation fewer than 7 days before the event, late arrival, or nonattendance is generally non-refundable; and
- a substitute participant may be permitted with advance approval and any required eligibility documents.
6. Retreats, Travel, Lodging, and Vendor-Based Experiences
Retreats, travel, lodging, transportation, and vendor-based experiences may require deposits and separate cancellation schedules. Nonrecoverable deposits, room blocks, transportation, tickets, meals, permits, and vendor charges are not refundable unless the vendor refunds S.O.W. Event-specific terms control and may require travel insurance.
7. Merchandise
Unworn, unused, non-custom merchandise may be eligible for return within 14 days after delivery, unless marked final sale. Original shipping, return shipping, customized items, digital goods, and items damaged after delivery are generally non-refundable. Contact us before returning an item.
8. Cancellation or Material Change by S.O.W.
If S.O.W. cancels a paid offering and does not provide a substantially equivalent rescheduled or virtual option, we will generally refund the amount paid directly to S.O.W. for the canceled portion. We are not responsible for separate travel, lodging, lost wages, childcare, or other incidental costs.
If an event is postponed, relocated, or converted to virtual format, we may offer transfer, credit, or refund options based on the circumstances and nonrecoverable costs.
9. Force Majeure
When an offering is affected by events beyond reasonable control—such as severe weather, natural disaster, epidemic, government action, venue failure, labor disruption, transportation interruption, security threat, or major technology failure—we may reschedule, change format, issue credit, or provide a partial refund after accounting for nonrecoverable costs, subject to law.
10. How to Request Cancellation or Refund
Submit a request through the Contact page with the subject “Cancellation or Refund.” Include your name, email used for purchase, offering, transaction date, and reason. Do not submit full payment-card information.
11. Processing
Approved refunds are generally returned to the original payment method. Processing time depends on the payment provider and financial institution. We may request verification to prevent fraud.
12. Chargebacks
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback so we can investigate and attempt to resolve the issue. A chargeback does not automatically cancel a membership or establish refund eligibility. Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in account restriction and recovery of amounts lawfully owed.
13. Legal Rights
Nothing in this Policy limits non-waivable rights under applicable consumer law.
